What you can do about oral health

Your mouth is normally teeming with bacteria. Usually you can keep these bacteria under control with

good oral health care, such as daily brushing and flossing. Saliva also is a key defense against bacteria and viruses. It contains enzymes that destroy bacteria in different ways. But harmful bacteria can sometimes grow out of control and lead to periodontitis, a serious gum infection.

When your gums are healthy, bacteria in your mouth usually don't enter your bloodstream. However, gum disease may provide bacteria a port of entry into your bloodstream. Sometimes invasive dental treatments also can allow bacteria to enter your bloodstream. And medications or treatments that reduce saliva flow or disrupt the

Office Facelift

As many of you have already seen, our office went under a much needed facelift.

 New paint, carpet, upholstery, décor, and in true Seattle style, a new complimentary coffee/beverage bar for all patients.

We are also now a completely paperless office, offering low-radiation digital x-rays and  digitalized patient charts.

We value our patients and want only the best for them.  We strive to make your visits comfortable, pleasant, and seamless every time.

Where’s Dr Tony?

If you have had an appointment recently and didn’t see Dr. McLaughlin around, he is still alive and kicking (or practicing)!

Dr. McLaughlin has had the immense privilege of being invited to mentor at the Scotsdale Center for Dentistry in Scotsdale, AZ a few days each month.   

The Scottsdale Center is the “Harvard” “of  dental continuing education institutes in the United States.  Dentists who are committed to offering the very best in dentistry  attend this world class Institution.

Dr. McLaughlin feels very fortunate to have been invited to be a mentor instructor with this group of exceptional dentists.  In fact, he has found the biggest benefit to  his patients, is in what he learns while mentoring other dentists.
