Are
you accepting new patients?
Yes, we welcome new patients to our practice. Please either
click on "Schedule an Appointment" or call (425) 883-1253
to speak with our scheduling coordinator.
Do you see
children?
Yes, we love children! We believe in making going to the dentist
a fun and educational time. The kids in our practice are special
to us and are always treated with the utmost care.
At what
age should my child start going to the dentist?
We start seeing most children when they are about three years
old. Their first appointment is called a "Happy Visit." Our
young patient may be introduced to our "squirt gun" and "Mr.
Thirsty," and take a ride in our dental chair. Then they have
their teeth "counted" by Dr. McLaughlin. If the child is happy
and relaxed we continue the visit by polishing their teeth.
Our goal is to always make it a point to make each child's
dental visit a positive experience.
What can I do about my unsightly dark
mercury fillings?
Those old dark fillings were probably placed in your mouth
years ago. Today it's easy for Dr McLaughlin to replace those
old fillings with brighter, cleaner, natural looking composite
fillings.
I can't afford to fix my teeth?
Good dental health makes such an impact on a person's overall
health and self esteem. We work with your insurance company
to ensure you receive your maximum benefits. Besides accepting
Visa, Master Card, and Discover Card we also offer financing
through Dental Fee Plan (OAC). We offer full payment discounts
as well. Our financial coordinator will be happy to discuss
options to help make quality dentistry affordable to you.
I've been told that I have gum problems.
Can I still see you?
Definitely! We have two highly experienced dental hygienists
that are experts at caring for teeth and gums. Our hygienists
keep up to date with the latest technologies to ensure that
you get the best possible care.
What can be done to replace a missing
tooth?
There are several options for replacing missing teeth. After
and examination, Dr McLaughlin can discuss whether a bridge,
implant, or partial denture would work best for you. Dr McLaughlin
has many years of experience of replacing missing teeth with
functional natural looking teeth.
How do you
handle infection control?
Our entire staff attends a yearly OSHA/WISHA training seminar
to keep up to date on the latest regulations for infection
control. We go above and beyond the strictest guidelines.
We provide the same safe environment for each of our patients
as we provide for our family members.
Is grinding my teeth at night natural?
Teeth grinding (Bruxism) is very common. Over time it can
cause tremendous stress and wear on your teeth leading to
pain, expense, and possibly tooth loss. To prevent the damage
done by teeth grinding a patient simply wears a custom made
Nightguard to wear to bed at night. Dr McLaughlin can determine
if a Nightguard might be a wise choice for you.
Can anything
be done about bad breath?
Bad breath (Halitosis) can have many causes. Bacteria between
the teeth, under the gums, or on the tongue can all contribute
to bad breath. Having your teeth professionally cleaned regularly
can usually eliminate the source of unpleasant mouth orders.
